Core Responsibilities:
The Accountant is responsible for performing various accounting functions and detailed financial analyses at the account, project, corporate levels, or as otherwise may be required, under the direction of the Controller. This individual will support general ledger entry, assist with the billing process to include supplier system setup, and will provide accounts payable support. When necessary, the Accountant will support the execution of all departmental functions, as well as all other duties as assigned by the Controller.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Operate relevant modules of Deltek Costpoint (Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Billing)
- Process incoming AP invoices from suppliers, vendors, subcontractors, and other creditors
- Maintain all supplier, vendor, creditor, and similar PDF files
- Review and allocate expense reports cost pools, accounts, and projects
- Assist with accounts receivable, invoice preparation, and month-end close
- All other duties, as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Work independently and complete assignments within deadlines with minimal supervision
- Handle sensitive/confidential information in accordance with applicable standards
- Demonstrate good judgment, attention to detail, and effective written and oral communication
- Utilize Costpoint for at least 2 years for accounts payable, billing, and general ledger entries
- U.S. Work Authorization Required and Security Clearance Eligibility Required
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong computer usage skills in a Mac-based environment
- Strong account payable knowledge
- Strong general ledger reconciliation knowledge
- Government Contracting Experience / Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF)
- Knowledge of foreign currency translation / transactions
Education:
- BA/BS in relevant field desired
- 3 years relevant work experience
