POSITION NOT YET FUNDED. SOLICITING RESUMES FROM INTERESTED CANDIDATES FOR ANTICIPATED EXPANSION TO EXISTING CONTRACT.

Background:

Navanti is looking for a Commander’s Action Group (CAG) Planner to provide subject matter expertise in one or more of the following functional areas:

  • Military Operational Planning
  • Security Cooperation Planning
  • Strategic Engagement Planning
  • Special Operations Planning
  • NATO plans and policy

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide recommendations to commanding general and senior staff on future strategic engagements with allies and partner nation leaders, as well as Department of State and other U.S. agency senior officials.
  • Coordinate with staff and key stakeholders to develop talking points and information papers.
  • Compile executive level briefing books and lead staff briefs and discussion to prepare senior leaders for engagements.
  • Monitor and support staff action officers across the command assigned to support specific strategic engagements, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Attend senior leader engagements and prepare executive summaries for distribution.
  • Maintain repository for SOCEUR talking points and information papers on all key issues and equities Design and prepare technical reports, studies, and related documentation.
  • Create charts and graphs to record results.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, training, and briefings.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant specialized military experience.
  • 5-7+ years of relevant experience as an Industry or other Government Professional in one or more of the following functional areas:
  • 5+ years of relevant specialized military experience.
  • 5-7+ years of relevant experience as an Industry or other Government Professional in one or more of the following functional areas:
    • Security Cooperation Planning
    • Military Operational Planning
    • Strategic Engagement Planning
    • Special Operations Planning
    • NATO plans and policy

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Former field-grade officer or Chief Warrant Officer; previous experience in a CAG or serving an Executive Officer (XO) is a plus.
  • Previous experience in writing information papers and talking points and briefing senior military leaders.
  • Former experience as a Special Operations Planner and/or directly supporting a Theater Special Operations Command (TSOC).

Education:

  • BA/BS minimum; MA in International Relations, Political Science, or related area of study preferred.

Clearance:

  • Active TS/SCI
