Background:
Navanti is looking for an experienced training specialist to develop training materials and deliver trainings on the new U.S. Strategy on Women, Peace, and Security (WPS), the history of the sector, and its implications for USAID programming for hybrid in-person and virtual audience.
Core Responsibilities:
- Serve as subject matter expert and work with senior management and the Navanti training specialist to develop and deliver the WPS course curriculum and training materials, ensuring suitability of materials for the USAID target audience in DC and at Missions.
- Regularly meet with USAID and other USG staff about the design of the course and receive feedback.
Necessary Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in international development, gender studies, political science, policy, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in training development and delivery and/or facilitation.
- Understanding of online and in-person adult learning principles for hybrid, virtual, and in-person facilitation.
- Experience in cross-cultural communication and curriculum design.
- Expert knowledge of WPS principles and their application and integration into development programming.
- Ability to travel to deliver regional trainings desired.
